Summertime in India means Monsoon Season, the onset usually is around 1st June and lasts up until mid September. There are two major movements as detailed below:
The southwest summer monsoon is attracted to India by a low pressure area that’s caused by the extreme heat of the Thar Desert and adjoining areas, during summer.

In the Indian subcontinent, deserts, with an area of about 225,000 sq km covers just under 7% of the total land area.
